BEIJING, March 27 -- A senior official of the Communist Party of
China (CPC) vowed here Thursday to step up relations with the
Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and promote the ties between the
two nations.
It was the common aspiration of Chinese and Vietnamese peoples to
fortify traditional friendship and boost bilateral cooperation, said
Wang Gang, vice chairman of National Committee of the Chinese
People's Political Consultative Conference, in a meeting with a
visiting CPV delegation, headed by Trinh Dinh Dung, member of the
Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and
Secretary of the CPV Vinh Phuc Provincial Committee.
Wang, also a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central
Committee, hailed the growth of relations between two parties and
the two nations in the recent years, saying the cooperation serves
the fundamental interests of the two peoples.
China is ready to make joint efforts with the Vietnamese side to
push forward bilateral comprehensive and cooperative ties and make
the two maintain good neighbors, good friends, good comrades and
good partners, Wang told the Vietnamese guests.
