Li Yuanchao Holds Talks with ANC Delegation

Beijing, June 12 ¨C Li Yuanchao, member of the Political Bureau, and of the Secretariat, and minister of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, held working discussions at the Great Hall of the People today with the visiting delegation of the African National Congress of South Africa headed by ANC president Jacob Zuma.

The two sides updated each other on the new developments in their respective countries. Li spoke positively of the friendly inter-party relations between China and South Africa, saying that the CPC is committed to working together with the ANC to further deepen exchanges between the two parties, especially cooperation in organization and capacity building, with the view to promoting the comprehensive development of the bilateral strategic partnership.

On his part, Zuma reaffirmed that the ANC values its exchanges and cooperation with the CPC, hoping that the two sides will further expand the fields of cooperation so as to bring more benefits to the two parties, two countries and two peoples.

Li Jinjun, vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee and Zhong Jianhua, Chinese ambassador to South Africa, also attended the talks.
