Wang Jiarui pays a visit to the US and attends the 7th China-US High-Level
Political Party Leaders Dialogue

WASHINGTON D.C., May 7 -- Vice-chairman of the National Committee of the CPPCC and minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee Wang Jiarui paid a visit to the United States from May 4th to 7th. Wang attended the 7th China-US High-Level Political Party Leaders Dialogue together with leaders  of the Democratic Party and the Republican Party of the US during his stay in the country. He also met respectively with the American Secretary of State John Kerry, former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger and Governor of the State of New Jersey Chris Christie.

Wang made introduction on the main ideas of the 3rd Plenary Session of the 18th Central Committee of the CPC emphasizing that a China that is pushing reforms ahead and dedicated to development means opportunities rather than a threat to the US and the rest of the world. The American side say that they are following closely the reform process in China and wish to deepen mutual understanding and promote the deepening and development of the new model of major-country relations with China through the political party dialogue.
