BEIJING, May 23 -- Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee Yu Hongjun met on 23rd of May in Beijing with the 2nd Workshop of Fijian Senior Public Servants led by Dr. Brij Lal, Permanent Secretary for Education, National Heritage, Culture and Arts. The delegation is paying a visit to Beijing.
Yu Hongjun first expressed thanks to the Fijian Government for its persistence in the One-China policy. He said China is willing to join effort with Fiji to lift the bilateral relations to a new stage and hoped that what this workshop has offered in China will be of help for Fiji’s development.
Dr. Brij Lal said, Fiji will continue upholding the One-China policy and ensure sustained, steady and healthy development of relations with China. The delegation will incorporate what they have learned in China this time into the reality of their own country and work for a better Fiji.
