BEIJING, May 26 -- Vice-chairman of the National Committee of the CPPCC and minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee Wang Jiarui met on 26th in Beijing with the Tongan government-parliament joint delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Tonga Samiu Vaipulu.
Wang said China and Tonga, both developing countries, enjoy a sound bilateral relationship. China supports the choice of development pattern made independently by the Tongan people and is willing to expand areas of practical cooperation with Tonga, exchange experience in governance and continue to offer help to Tonga for its development.
Samiu Vaipulu said throughout this visit in China, the delegation has been received warmly with hospitality and full respect, which shows China’s policy of treating big and small countries equally. This visit has deepened their understanding of the Communist Party of China and China’s political system and has also enhanced the friendship between the two countries and their people.
