Wang Jiarui meets with Moldovan guests

BEIJING, June 3 -- On June 3rd, Wang Jiarui, vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met in Beijing with a delegation of the Democratic Party of Moldova (PDM), led by its first deputy-chairman Vladimir Plahotniuc.

Wang said that on the basis of equality, mutual benefit and mutual respect, the friendly and cooperative relations between China and Moldova have maintained a sound and steady development momentum in the past years. Affirming the important role party-to-party exchanges play in strengthening China-Moldova relations and cooperation in various fields, Wang hoped that the CPC and the PDM, as two ruling parties, will maintain friendly exchanges, continue to tap cooperation potential, promote economic and trade and people-to-people cooperation and strengthen youth, women and parliamentary exchanges so as to contribute to the wellbeing of the two peoples.

 

Plahotniuc said the PDM regards the CPC as its key partner not only in practical cooperation, but also in geopolitics. At present, the two parties face similar challenges domestically and the PDM hopes to have more engagement with the CPC to share experience of governance and learn from China’s success in strengthening party-building, organization capacity and in the combat against corruption so as to promote the economic and social development of Moldova, said Plahotniuc.
