Li congratulated Ujhelyi on his election to the membership of the Group of Socialists and Democrats of the European Parliament and said, with its further integration, the EU is going to play a more important role. The Communist Party of China enjoys a long-term friendly relation with the S&D Group in the European Parliament. He hopes that Ujhelyi will play a bigger role in the future, letting more young parliamentarians to understand China, help deepen the relations between China and the EU and facilitate cooperation in different fields.

Ujhelyi said he firmly believes that integration is the future trend of the European Union. In his capacity in the European Parliament, he will try his best to promote China-EU relations, help to enhance exchanges and consolidate friendship and, at the same time, be dedicated to China-Hungary relations and development in the world.
