BEIJING, July 21 -- Vice-minister Guo Yezhou of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee met in Beijing on July 21 with a cross-party study group of young leaders from Greece headed by Dionisios Stamenitis, MP of the party of "New Democracy". The two sides exchanged views on relations between China and Greece and between China and the EU. Guo said that China pays great attention to friendly relations with Greece and hopes to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries in various areas. He also expressed the willingness of the CPC to enhance exchanges and cooperation with major political parities in Greece to promote the continuous development of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.  

Stamenitis said that Greece puts great premium on expanding and deepening friendly cooperation with China and that politically parties will play a more active role in promoting bilateral relations.
