BEIJING, Dec. 24 -- On Dec.24, Egyptian President El-sissi, who was visiting China, met in the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC) with Wang Jiarui, vice-chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and minister of IDCPC, as well as officials in charge of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, and the Central Party School. President El-sissi listened to a briefing on the governance of the CPC given by the Chinese side.  

Wang Jiarui said that the CPC, which was founded 90 years ago and has been in the ruling position for over 60 years, has always taken upon itself the task of development of the country and rejuvenation of the nation. He pointed out that China’s achievements today has been due to the core leadership of the CPC, which has seen both opportunities and setbacks. He said that China’s political system is different from that of other countries. To remain in power for a very long time, the CPC has to enhance party-building and cultivate firm convictions in its members. It has to continuously improve its governance capabilities through education, promotion or punishment of its members so as to realize self-purification, self-development, and self-improvement.

President El-sissi pointed out that the CPC has developed into the largest political party in the world in 90-plus years and led China onto the path of fast growth. The positions and policies of the CPC have reflected the features of a communist party and its wisdom and vision. What happened in Egypt in the past four years have made the Egyptian people realize the importance of maintaining stability and staying away from chaos. Egypt has always cherished love and respect for China. Now that bilateral relations between Egypt and China have been upgraded to a comprehensive and strategic partnership, the Egyptian side stands ready to learn more from the Chinese experience.  

Official in charge of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee talked about the organizational structure of the CPC and how it selects and promotes its cadres. Responsible person from the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection talked about the Party’s fight against corruption.
