Wang Jiarui meets Georgian Prime Minister

Beijing, September 11th – Wang Jiarui, vice-chairman of the CPPCC National Committee and minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today with Irakli Garibashvili, prime minister of Georgia and chairman of the Georgian Dream–Democratic Georgia.

Wang said that China-Georgia relations are presenting a sound momentum, believing that the visit of the Prime Minister will further advance China-Georgia relations and their practical cooperation. The CPC and the Georgian Dream are both ruling parties and parties for the people, making their communication and exchange important for the development of China-Georgia relations. The CPC is willing to continue strengthening friendly exchange with the Georgian Dream on the basis of the four principles guiding inter-party relations. Wang also briefed the guests on China’s domestic situation and on party building.

On his part, Prime Minister Garibashvili said that he is deeply impressed by China’s development and achievements in his first visit to China. Georgia-China relations enjoy good historical and cultural foundation and the two countries enjoy close and fruitful cooperation. Georgia puts China at the priority of its diplomatic agenda, and will strengthen exchange and cooperation with the CPC in various fields to further deepen inter-state relations.
