Song Tao meets Nepalese Prime Minister

Beijing, March 21st -- Minister Song Tao of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee met here today with Khadga Prashad Oli, Chairman of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist-Leninist) (CPN-UML) and Prime Minister of the Nepalese government.

Song said that China and Nepal are good neighbours, friends and partners. During the visit of Prime Minister Oli to China, leaders of the two countries have reached a series of important consensus on deepening bilateral relations and promoting their practical cooperation, pointing the way forward for the development of China-Nepal relations in the future. The CPC is willing to further deepen friendly relations with main political parties in Nepal, implement important consensus of the leaders of the two countries, increase exchanges among party cadres at various levels and share governance experience, and constantly advance China-Nepal comprehensive cooperative partnership featuring ever-lasting friendship.

On his part, Oli said that China is an important neighbour of Nepal, and that it is the common wish of all the people and political parties of Nepal to firmly develop Nepal-China friendship. The main political parties including CPN-UML all cherish friendship with the CPC, and hope to strengthen exchange and cooperation with the CPC to usher in a new chapter of China-Nepal friendly cause.
