Yang Jiechi Meets with Nonpartisan Delegation of Young Japanese Politicians

Beijing, August 23rd--State Councilor Yang Jiechi met here today with the nonpartisan delegation of young Japanese politicians led by Kiyohiko Toyama, member of the New Komeito Party and Director of the International Affairs Bureau of the party.

Yang expressed that China always advocates to continuously deepening China-Japan strategic reciprocal relations on the basis of the four political documents and the four-point principled consensus between the two countries. It is hoped that Japan can implement the spirit of "China and Japan being cooperative partners that pose no threat to each other", properly resolve sensitive issues, deepen practical cooperation between the two countries, and enhance mutual understanding between the two peoples, so as to play a positive role in promoting the development of bilateral relations.

Kiyohiko Toyama expressed that Japan is willing to strive for the improvement of Japan-China relations by reviewing the history and looking into the future.
