Guo said that the time-honored traditional friendship between China and Tanzania is exhibiting new vigor. Attaching great importance to developing bilateral relations, China is willing to, together with Tanzania, accelerate the pace of industrialization and agricultural modernization in Tanzania, comprehensively enhance mutually beneficial cooperation between both countries in various fields, and push bilateral ties for constant progress by upholding the Africa policy of sincerity, practical results, affinity and good faith as well as the correct viewpoint of righteousness and benefit put forward by President Xi Jinping, taking the implementation of the outcomes from the Johannesburg Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation as an opportunity, and grasping the opportunities brought by production capacity cooperation. The CPC is ready to, together with CCM, further deepen communication and cooperation, learn from each other, and better realize the grand blueprint to ensure state development, national prosperity and people’s happiness.

Magufuli noted that Tanzania-China friendship was forged by leaders of older generations. Grateful to China for its long-term and valuable contributions to economic and social development of the country, Tanzania is fully confident in the prospect of bilateral relations and stands ready to comprehensively intensify friendly cooperation with China in various fields. Tanzania welcomes more Chinese enterprises to invest and establish business in the country, so as to continuously push bilateral ties for new highs.

During the visit, Guo also met with President of Zanzibar Ali Mohamed Shein, held talks with Deputy Secretary General Rodrick Mpongolo of CCM, attended the art performance themed "Beijing Night", and inspected the cooperation projects between both countries.
