Beijing, April 19th--Shen Beili, Assistant-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee met here today with the delegation of members of European Parliament of the Central and East European Countries （CEEC）headed by Jan Zahradil, President of Alliance of Conservatives and Reformists in Europe and Vice-chair of the European Parliament's Committee on International Trade.

Shen expressed that the development of China-Europe comprehensive strategic partnership has increasingly becoming mature and profound at present, and the "16+1 cooperation" between China and the CEEC has been steadily pushed forward. It is hoped that members of the European Parliament of the CEEC could play greater roles in the European Parliament, so as to promote the development of China-Europe relations.

Zahradil appreciated the giant achievements achieved by China in its economic and social development, and expressed the willingness to actively participate in the "Belt and Road” construction and the "16+1 cooperation", enhance exchanges in such areas as parliament, political parties and think tanks with China, and make efforts to promote the development of Europe-China relations.
