Song Tao Meets with CPP Young Cadre Study Group

Beijing, September 1st—Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee met here today on the morning with Hun Many, Member of the Central Committee of Cambodian People's Party (CPP) and President of Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia and the CPP young cadre study group led by him.

Both sides spoke highly of relations between both parties and both countries. Song said that the CPC and the Chinese government have always regarded its relations with Cambodia as a priority of its diplomacy and supported Cambodia in following a development path suitable to its own national conditions. General Secretary Xi Jinping and President Hun Sen have met many times and reached important consensus on developing relations between both parties and both countries, injecting new impetus into the advancement of bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership. Intensifying high-level exchanges between both parties plays an important leading role in the development of China-Cambodia relations. The Chinese side welcomes the leading cadres of Cambodian party to China to exchange experience in party building and ruling. As youths are the future and hope of a country, both sides should strengthen youth exchanges between the two countries, well inherit China-Cambodia friendship and carry it forward.

Hun Many expressed that relations between both parties and both countries become newer as time goes by. Both sides firmly support each other’s core interests. The CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core has led various departments to conduct cooperation with Cambodia, which is of great importance to the country’s development. This visit deepened the understanding of CPP young members on relations between both parties and both countries, and let them learn CPC’s work in party building and experience on innovation and development.
