Xu Lyuping Meets with Premier of Free State of South Africa

Beijing, September 8th—Xu Lyuping, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee met here today on the afternoon with Ace Magashule, Premier of Free State of South Africa and member of the National Executive Committee of African National Congress.

Xu expressed that China appreciates the African National Congress and the Free State for their commitments to developing communication and cooperation between the two parties and two countries. China is willing to, together with South Africa, well implement the series outcomes of President Xi Jinping’s visit to South Africa, the Johannesburg Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation and the BRICS Xiamen Summit, so as to elevate China-South Africa comprehensive strategic partnership to new highs.

Magashule said that the BRICS Xiamen Summit achieved great success with fruitful outcomes. The Free State expects to enhance economic and trade contact and people-to-people and cultural exchanges with China, in a bid to make greater contributions to consolidating South Africa-China friendship and advancing BRICS cooperation.
