Wang Yajun Meets with Delegation of Sri Lankan Parliament

Beijing, September 15th—Wang Yajun, Assistant-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee met here today with the delegation of Sri Lankan Parliament headed by John Amaratunga, Minister of Tourism Development and Christian Religious Affairs.

Wang noted that the CPC is willing to continue deepening relations with all political parties of Sri Lanka, actively implement the important consensus reached by leaders of both countries, learn from each other’s experience in state governance and administration, and steadily advance cooperation in various fields between both countries under the “Belt and Road” framework, so as to promote China-Sri Lanka relations for constant development.

Amaratunga expressed that main political parties of Sri Lanka attach importance to their exchanges and cooperation with the CPC, and expect to learn from the CPC’s experience in state governance and administration. The Sri Lankan government will continue to firmly develop Sri Lanka-China friendship, well implement the major cooperation projects between both countries under the “Belt and Road” framework, and intensify exchanges in all fields, in a bid to bring more benefits to the Sri Lankan people.
