Highlights of foreign congratulatory messages on 19th CPC National Congress (17)

BEIJING, Oct. 24 (Xinhua) -- Foreign leaders, political parties and organizations around the world have sent congratulatory messages on the occasion of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

The messages speak highly of the CPC's leadership as well as China's socio-economic development and global contributions, and express full confidence that the CPC will lead China to even greater prosperity.

The following is an edited version of some of these messages.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, chairman of the Justice and Development Party:

"This CPC congress will become a landmark event to show the world China's resolve for its development."

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, chairman of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela:

"In the process of building socialism with Chinese characteristics, the decisions of the 19th CPC National Congress will help China complete the building of a moderately prosperous society in all respects and turn it into a modernized socialist country."

Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski, leader of the Peruvians for Change party:

Gambian President Adama Barrow:

Myanmar State Counselor Aung San Suu Kyi:

Sher Bahadur Deuba, president of the Nepali Congress party and Nepali prime minister:

Vincent Meriton, president of the Parti Lepep and vice president of the Republic of Seychelles:
