Song Tao Holds Talks with Head of CPV Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations

Hanoi, November 1st—Song Tao, Special Envoy of General Secretary Xi Jinping and Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, held talks here today with Hoang Binh Quan, Head of Commission for External Relations of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), briefing him on the situation of the 19th CPC National Congress as well as exchanging views on communication and cooperation between the two parties.

Song comprehensively introduced and promoted the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress, and gave an in-depth interpretation on significant guiding role of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era in China’s diplomatic work and its far-reaching influence on the world. Song expressed that political parties and political heavyweight of many countries, particularly of developing countries, believe that Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era contributes Chinese wisdom and Chinese solutions to the problems facing mankind, and blazes a new and civilized development path featuring win-win cooperation, joint construction and shared benefits for the international community.

Song noted that it was put forward clearly at the 19th CPC National Congress that China will promote the building of a community with a shared future for mankind, and continuously deepen its relations with neighboring countries according to the concept featuring amity, sincerity, mutual benefit and inclusiveness, and the diplomatic policy of good-neighborly friendship and partnership. In the next period, focusing on the new historical positions of the CPC and the CPV as well as the new situation and new task facing China-Viet Nam relations, both parties should continuously take the implementation of the important consensus reached by the two general secretaries as mainline, take the enhancement of the political guiding for bilateral relations as responsibility, and take the propelling of the building of a socialism community of common destiny for China and Viet Nam as a goal to further and well conduct friendly exchanges and cooperation, and thus constantly opening up a new situation for inter-party exchanges.

Hoang Binh Quan expressed that speaking highly of the great achievements of the 19th CPC National Congress and of the theoretical innovations of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the Vietnamese side believes that as a historical event that influences the world’s future development, the 19th CPC National Congress fully embodies China’s position as a major country and a responsible large country in international affairs. The Congress greatly encourages Viet Nam to move towards its party-building and the course of socialism, and provides important reference to party ruling and state governance for the CPV. The CPV Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations stands ready to continuously enhance coordination with the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, actively implement the important consensus reached by the supreme leaders of both parties, and constantly push forward exchanges and cooperation between the two parties for new outcomes, so as to make new contributions to promoting bilateral relations for constant, healthy and stable development.
