Li Jun Meets with Newly-appointed UAE Ambassador to China

Beijing, November 9th – Li Jun, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met here today on the afternoon with Ali Obaid Al Dhaheri, newly-appointed Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to China.

Li welcomed Dhaheri to assume his new post in China, and briefed him on the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress. He expressed that the CPC and the International Department of the CPC Central Committee are willing to further enhance exchanges and cooperation with various parties of the UAE, including the royal family, government, and think tanks, as well as promote the strategic partnership between both countries through party-to-party channel.

Dhaheri congratulated on the successful convening of the 19th CPC National Congress and Comrade Xi Jinping’s re-election as General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, and noted that regarding China as an important strategic partner of the UAE, the country expects China to obtain greater achievements under the leadership of General Secretary Xi Jinping, so as to achieve greater development for UAE-China relations.
