CPC Delegation Holds Special Briefing Session in Switzerland to Promote Spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress

On December 5th, Li Shulei, Deputy Secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection led a CPC delegation to Bern, Switzerland where he held a special briefing session to promote the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress. Over 100 representatives of different fields including the Swiss government, parliament, industrial and commercial circles, think tank, non-governmental organizations, media and other fields were present. Li comprehensively introduced the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress and China’s historic changes in last five years as well as the changes of principal social contradictory of modern China, mainly expounded the rich connotation of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and analyzed theoretical and cultural origin as well as the realistic basis of China’s road and system. Li conducted communication with the Swiss representatives later on.

At the invitation of the Switzerland-China Parliamentary Group of the Swiss Federal Assembly, Li led a delegation to visit Switzerland from December 5th to 7th. Except for holding the briefing session, the delegation will also meet with Ueli Maurer, newly-elected Vice President of the Confederation and Head of the Federal Department of Finance, and hold discussion with Laurent Wehrli, President of the Switzerland-China Parliamentary Group of the Swiss Federal Assembly and other members.
