Wang Yajun Meets with Former French Prime Minister

Beijing, December 2nd—Wang Yajun, Assistant-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee met here today with Jean-Pierre Raffarin, former French Prime Minister and President of the Foundation for Innovation and Future Technologies, who was in China for the CPC in Dialogue with World Political Parties High-Level Meeting.

Wang welcomed Raffarin to attend the Meeting, and expressed that China attaches high importance to relations between both countries, and is willing to continuously enhance bilateral cooperation in the “Belt and Road” construction, the building of a community with a shared future for mankind and other perspectives, and cement non-governmental communication and cooperation between both sides, so as to further promote the development of China-France and China-Europe relations.

Speaking highly of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s keynote speech at the opening ceremony of the Meeting, Raffarin congratulated on the successful holding of the Meeting, and expressed the willingness to continue to make efforts to boost France and other European countries to participate in the “Belt and Road” construction as well as the building of a community with a shared future for mankind in a more active manner, and work with the Chinese side to make greater contributions to world peace and development.
