Song Tao Meets with Chief Representative of the New Komeito Party of Japan

Beijing, December 2nd—Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC) met here today on the afternoon with Natsuo Yamaguchi, Chief Representative of the New Komeito Party of Japan and Fukui Teru, Director-General of the International Bureau of the Liberal Democratic Party.

Song comprehensively introduced the main spirit and historic achievements of the 19th CPC National Congress, and deeply interpreted the great significance and rich connotation of the keynote speech delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the opening ceremony of the CPC in Dialogue with World Political Parties High-Level Meeting.

Natsuo Yamaguchi expressed that General Secretary Xi Jinping has put forward a grand goal with a two-step approach to making China into a great modern socialist country at the 19th CPC National Congress, and proposed a great initiative of building a community with a shared future for mankind at the CPC in Dialogue with World Political Parties High-Level Meeting. They are deeply shocked and highly evaluated such gestures, and stand ready to work with the CPC and political parties of all countries to make efforts to increase people’s well-bring and build a better world.

Both sides exchanged views on issues of common concern including the development of China-Japan relations, and relations between two ruling parties, fully affirmed the important results achieved from the 6th meeting of China-Japan ruling parties exchange mechanism, and expressed that they will continue to deepen party-to-party communication and cooperation, and contribute to the sustainable improvement and positive development of relations between China and Japan.
