Song Tao Meets with President of the National Assembly of Laos

Beijing, December 2nd, 2017-- Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC) met here today on the morning with Pany Yathotu, President of the National Assembly of Laos, who was in China for the CPC in Dialogue with World Political Parties High-Level Meeting.

Song expressed that General Secretary Xi Jinping comprehensively expounded at the opening ceremony of the Meeting on the CPC’s concept and proposition of pushing for the building of a community with a shared future for mankind, which shows that the CPC regards making fresh and greater contributions to mankind as its mission. It is conducive to promoting the common prosperity and progress of all countries in the world and highly praised and acclaimed by political parties in various countries. The CPC and the Lao People's Revolutionary Party are close partners with high degree of mutual trust. It is hoped that both sides will work together to make active efforts in implementing General Secretary Xi Jinping’s proposal and jointly building a better world.

Pany expressed that General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech corresponds with the common concerns of political parties of all countries and reflects the common aspirations of all peoples, to which Laos deeply agrees. The Lao side hoped to work with the CPC to push for the synergy of political parties of all countries, jointly push for the implementation of the great initiatives and build a better world together.

Both sides spoke highly of the relations between the two countries and parties, adding that they will constantly deepen party-to-party exchanges and mutual learning so as to well play the political leading role in building China-Laos community of shared future
