Song Tao Meets with Chairman of USDP of Myanmar

Beijing, December 2nd, 2017--Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee met here today on the morning with Than Htay, Chairman of USDP of Myanmar, who was in China for the CPC in Dialogue with World Political Parties High-Level Meeting.

Song expressed that General Secretary Xi Jinping’s keynote speech at the opening ceremony of the Meeting announced that the CPC’s sincere wish to jointly work with political parties of all sorts in various countries to build a community with a shared future for mankind, pointed out the direction of our endeavor, which is to build an open, inclusive, clean, and beautiful world that enjoys lasting peace, universal security, and common prosperity and put forward an important proposal of jointly making contributions to world peace and stability, common development and mutual learning and cultural exchanges. We hope to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with political parties in various countries, including the USDP, shoulder the historical responsibilities of political parties, play the political guiding role so as to make due contributions to building a community with a shared future for mankind and a better world.

Htay expressed that General Secretary Xi Jinping’s speech fully demonstrates the image of a big party which has a strong sense of responsibility as well as General Secretary Xi Jinping’s vision of the world and care for the people. They are willing to actively respond to General Secretary Xi Jinping’s great initiatives. After the 19th CPC National Congress, they learned first time Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and were deeply inspired and encouraged. It is believed that this will not only lead China to achieve the Chinese Dreams at an early date, but will also play an active part for the development of developing countries such as Myanmar. Both sides also exchanged views on continuing developing relations between CPC and USDP, adding that they will strengthen exchanges and mutual learning so as to make efforts in consolidating the social and public opinion foundation for China-Myanmar relations.

Song also comprehensively introduced major spirits and historical contributions of the 19th CPC National Congress.
