Song Tao Meets with CPL General Secretary and Senate President

Beijing, December 2nd--Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC) met here today on the morning with Pierre Ngolo, General Secretary of the Congolese Party of Labour (CPL) and Senate President, who was in China for the CPC in Dialogue with World Political Parties High-Level Meeting.

Both sides warmly exchanged views on General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech delivered at the opening ceremony. Song said that General Secretary Xi Jinping's keynote speech at the opening ceremony of the Meeting has declared the sincere desire of the CPC to promote the building of a community with a shared future for mankind with all political parties of all countries, pointed out the direction for all countries’ efforts to the building of a world featuring universal security, common prosperity, openness and inclusiveness, cleanness and beautifulness, and put forward important initiatives to make common contributions to world peace, tranquility, common development, and cross-cultural exchanges and mutual learning. Ngolo held that General Secretary Xi Jinping's speech, both inspiring and thought-provoking, charts the course for the efforts and also identifies the common responsibility and commitment of all political parties in the world. The CPL stands ready to respond positively to General Secretary Xi Jinping's great initiatives and make joint efforts with the CPC and other political parties in the world to make its due contributions to a bright future for mankind.

Both sides spoke positively of China-Congo relations and relations between the CPC and the CPL, and expressed that both sides will further strengthen inter-party exchanges and cooperation, support each other on issues concerning respective core interests, and cement the political basis and public opinion foundation for China-Congo relations.

Song also introduced the main spirit and historic achievements of the 19th CPC National Congress.
