CPC Delegation Holds Special Briefing Session in Finland to Promote Spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress

On December 8th, Li Shulei, Deputy Secretary of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection led a CPC delegation to Helsinki, Finland where he held a special briefing session to promote spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress. He respectively met with Maria Lohela, Speaker of the Finnish Parliament and Matti Vanhanen, Former Prime Minister and the Central Party’s presidential candidate. Over 50 people of different circles including the Finnish government, political parties, industrial and commercial circles, think tanks, media and other fields were present.

Li comprehensively introduced the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress and China’s historic changes since the 18th CPC National Congress as well as the changes of principal social contradiction of modern China, and mainly expounded the essence and rich connotation of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. He stressed that the Thought represents the latest achievement of the theory of socialism with Chinese characteristics, the profound answer to the issues confronting modern China and the world as well as the comprehensive summary of China’s practices of development.

Speaking highly of the global influence of the 19th CPC National Congress, Finland stands ready to further deepen cooperation in various fields with China and promote the advancement of future-oriented new type cooperative partnership between Finland and China.

Li Shulei presented Maria Lohela and Matti Vanhanen with the second volume of the English version of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China. He also presented guests of the session with the English version of the work report of the 19th CPC National Congress.
