From December 14th to 17th, at the invitation of South Africa's African National Congress (ANC), Gao Xuanmin, Vice Minister of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, led a CPC delegation to South Africa where he promoted the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress and attended the 54th ANC National Conference as the CPC Representative. Gao presented Jacob Zuma, President of South Africa and the ANC Leader with a congratulatory letter from the CPC Central Committee to ANC National Conference. Gao respectively met with Gwede Mantashe, the ANC General Secretary, and Solly Mapaila, the First Deputy General Secretary of South African Communist Party, promoting the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress. Gao also attended two special symposiums on the 19th CPC National Congress jointly held by South African Independence Media, Chinese Embassy in South Africa and South African National Civic Organisation, and delivered keynote speeches. More than 150 representatives from the government, political parties, business circles and think tanks of South African were present.
Gao comprehensively expounded on the main spirit and profound significance of the 19th CPC National Congress and introduced a series of major outcomes of the 19th CPC National Congress achieved in politics, theory and practice. He stressed that China will be dedicated to continuously consolidating and deepening unity and cooperation with African countries including South Africa, seeking mutual benefit with win-win results, and building a community with a shared future for mankind hand in hand. The South African side congratulated on the successful convening of the 19th CPC National Congress, highly praised the remarkable achievements China has made under the leadership of the CPC and expressed that China's success can offer good reference to Africa.
Gao presented the officials of South African parties and government with the second volume of the English version of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China and the report to the 19th CPC National Congress.
