CPC Delegation Visits the Netherlands to Promote Spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress

The Hague, January 27th (Xinhua)—At the invitation of the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD) of the Netherlands, Li Xiaoxin, Committee Member of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee and Director of Young Cadres Division of Bureau I of Cadre Management led a CPC delegation to visit the Netherlands to promote the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress from January 25th to 27th.

During the visit, Li met respectively with Anne Flierman, First Vice-President of the First Chamber of the Senate; Eric Wetzels, Vice Chairman of the VVD; Broeke J.H. ten, Member of the House of Representatives; Ploumen E.M.J., Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation of the Labour Party and Member of the House of Representatives as well as Pieter Jan Kleiweg de Zwaan, Deputy Director-General for Political Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands. Li also attended the special briefing session held by Chinese Embassy in the Netherlands and delivered a keynote speech. Nearly 120 representatives from all circles including Royal House, government, senate, think tank, enterprises and media of the Netherlands were present.

Li comprehensively introduced the main spirit and great significance of the 19th CPC National Congress, and mainly expounded Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the concept of a community with a shared future for mankind put forward by General Secretary Xi. The Netherlands congratulated on the convening of the 19th CPC National Congress, appreciated the grand goal proposed at the Congress, and hoped to seize opportunities brought by China’s development, further elevate the level of bilateral relations, and enhance bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation under the framework of the “Belt and Road”.
