Shen Beili Meets with Newly-appointed Hungarian Ambassador to China

Beijing, February 12th--Shen Beili, Assistant-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee met here today on the afternoon at request with Mate Pesti, newly-appointed Hungarian Ambassador to China.

Speaking positively of China-Hungary relations and cooperation in various fields, Shen expressed that the CPC is willing to continuously reinforce cooperation with major political parties in Hungary such as Hungarian Civic Alliance (Fidesz), so as to push bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership to new stages.

Pesti expressed that Viktor Orbán, Chairman of Fidesz and Prime Minister, attaches great importance to developing relations between the two countries and two parties and hopes to take the “Belt and Road” construction and the “16+1 cooperation” under it as platforms to deepen cooperation in such fields as economy and trade and people-to-people and cultural engagement.
