Song Tao Meets with Brazilian Foreign Minister

Beijing, May 14th—Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee met here today on the afternoon with Aloysio Nunes, Vice President of the Brazilian Social Democracy Party (PSDB) and Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Speaking positively of China-Brazil friendly relations and efforts made by Nunes to promote the development of bilateral relations, Song expressed that the people of both countries always have friendly feelings, and both countries have also continuously achieved new outcomes from cooperation in various fields. China is willing to make joint efforts with Brazil to boost in-depth and practical development of China-Brazil comprehensive strategic partnership, so as to practically benefit the two peoples. Song appreciated all major political parties in Brazil for devoting themselves to developing friendly relations between both countries, and said that the CPC is willing to further strengthen communication between political parties of the two countries, and practically and well play a political leading role in the development of national relations of both sides.

Song also introduced the new progress achieved from the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics under the leadership of the CPC with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core.

Nunes expressed that Brazil always regards China as a close and friendly partner, and will continuously commit itself to promoting the forward-looking development of Brazil-China comprehensive strategic partnership. Appreciating the historic accomplishments achieved from the national construction and development by the Chinese people under the CPC’s leadership, Nunes noted that all the major political parties in Brazil including the PSDB share broad consensus on developing relations between the two countries, and stand ready to boost long-term and stable development of national relations of both countries through deepening exchanges between political parties of both countries.
