Beijing, June 5th—Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC) met here today on the afternoon with a study group of African National Congress (ANC) led by Ace Magashule, Secretary General of the ANC.

Speaking positively about the relations between the two parties and two countries, Song expressed that the CPC and the ANC are both ruling parties of major emerging developing countries and are good comrades and bothers that share the same ideal. In recent years, the top leaders of both parties have met for many times, elevating the relations between the two parties to the best level in history. This year marks the 35th anniversary of the establishment of the relations featuring friendly exchanges and cooperation between the two parties as well as the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and South Africa. General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee and President Xi Jinping has visited South Africa twice, during which Xi Jinping and leaders of South Africa jointly opened up the new era for China-South Africa cooperation, China-Africa cooperation and the BRICS cooperation. The CPC is willing to, together with the ANC, jointly well implement the important consensus reached by the top leaders of both parties and both countries on further developing the relations between the two parties and the two countries, so as to jointly build a community with a shared future for China and South Africa and for China and Africa.

Magashule expressed that the ANC cherishes its friendly relations with the CPC and is satisfied with the breadth, depth and achievements of the exchanges and cooperation between the two parties so far. The new National Executive Committee of the ANC will unswervingly remain committed to comprehensively strengthening and deepening its relations with the CPC. The ANC hopes to constantly expand cooperation in such areas as thoughts and theories discussions, mutual learning of experience in party building as well as cadre exchanges and assessment, in a bid to elevate the relations between the two parties to new highs and inject fresh impetus into the development of the relations between the two countries.
