Beijing, September 12th—Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today with a delegation of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) headed by Adán Chávez, Vice President of the PSUV.
Song positively evaluated the efforts and contributions of the PSUV to promoting the development of China-Venezuela relations as well as the good cooperative relations between the ruling parties of the two countries. Song said that the CPC is willing to strengthen the high-level exchanges with the PSUV, deepen political mutual trust, promote mutual learning, and well play the political leading role in the development of China-Venezuela relations.
Song also introduced Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and conducted in-depth exchanges with Chávez on strengthening pragmatic cooperation between the two countries under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative through inter-party exchanges.
Chávez said that the PSUV attaches great importance to developing friendly exchanges with the CPC, thanks the Chinese side for its valuable support to the Venezuelan side, and is willing to consolidate the political foundation for the development of China-Venezuela relations through close exchanges and cooperation between the two Parties.
