September 13th—Qian Hongshan, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, met today on the afternoon with the cadre study group of the Nepali Congress (NC) headed by Minendra Rijal, Member of the NC Central Working Committee.
Qian noted that China and Nepal are close neighbors with ever-lasting friendship. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries 63 years ago, bilateral relations have maintained sound and stable development. The CPC is willing to intensify exchanges with major Nepali political parties including the NC, and actively explore the building of a new type of inter-party relations featuring the pursuit of common ground while reserving differences, mutual respect and mutual learning, so as to promote China-Nepal relations for constant and forward-looking development.
Rijal noted that the NC attaches high importance to its inter-party relations with the CPC, and stands ready to continue deepening exchanges and cooperation between the two Parties, in a bid to continuously carry forward Nepal-China traditional friendship.
