Islamabad, October 15th—Imran Khan, Chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Prime Minister of Pakistan met here today with Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee.

Imran Khan asked Song Tao to convey his sincere greetings to President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang. Song Tao expressed gratitude and conveyed sound wishes from President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang. Song expressed that China and Pakistan are unbreakable all-weather friends enjoying mutual understanding, mutual trust, and mutual support. The Chinese side pays high attention to developing China-Pakistan relations, and stands ready to, together with the new government of Pakistan, elevate China-Pakistan all-weather cooperative partnership to a new level. Both as the ruling parties, the CPC and the PTI shoulder the historical responsibilities to develop economy and improve people’s livelihood. The CPC is willing to comprehensively elevate the relations between the two Parties, deepen exchanges and cooperation, consolidate political mutual trust, and promote the construction of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor for more fruitful results, in a bid to inject new impetus into China-Pakistan relations and better build a community of shared future for the two countries.

Imran Khan noted that China is the best and only all-weather friend of Pakistan. The Pakistani side thanks China for its long-term selfless support and assistance, and will make full efforts to boost Pakistan-China all-weather strategic cooperative partnership with the Chinese side. Pakistan firmly supports the Belt and Road Initiative put forward by General Secretary Xi Jinping, and will steadily propel the construction of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. The PTI looks forward to enhancing all-round cooperation with the CPC, learning its experience in party governance and state administration, and promoting Pakistan-China relations for greater development.
