Li Jun Meets with Study Group of Personages from Iranian Political Parties and Think Tanks

Beijing, March 1st—Li Jun, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today with a study group consisting of personages from Iranian political parties and think tanks. The delegation was led by Mohammad Nicknam, head of the delegation and Deputy Secretary of Islamic Motalefeh Party (IMP) of Iran as well as by Mohsen Eslami, deputy head of the delegation and Deputy Secretary General of the Strategic Council on Foreign Relations (SCFR) of Iran.

Li made positive comments on China-Iran relations, saying that the IDCPC is willing to deepen exchanges and cooperation with the IMP and the SCFR to boost the steady development of China-Iran comprehensive strategic partnership.

Nicknam expressed that the IMP attaches great importance to developing friendly relations with the CPC and is willing to learn from the CPC's experience in state governance and administration and play a positive role in strengthening Iran-China comprehensive strategic partnership and cooperation in various fields.

Eslami said that Iran attaches great importance to developing relations with China and the SCFR is ready to strengthen exchanges with the IDCPC to push for greater development of Iran-China cooperation under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative.
