Beijing, October 23rd—Li Jun, Vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), met here today with Miguel Ramirez Ramos, the Cuban Ambassador to China, who is to leave his post and return to Cuba.

Li spoke positively of the efforts made by Ramirez and the Cuban Embassy in China to develop relations between the two Parties and countries. Li said that China-Cuba relations have developed steadily in an all-round way in recent years. China is willing to take the opportunity of implementing the consensus reached by the two heads of state to continue deepening exchanges and cooperation with Cuba and provide strong political support for the development of bilateral relations.

Ramirez thanked the IDCPC for its strong support to him and the work of the Cuban Embassy in China, saying that he would contribute to deepening the friendship between Cuba and China.
