BEIJING, April 15 -- Wu Guanzheng, a member of the Standing Committee of
Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of
China (CPC), vowed here Sunday to step up the exchange and
cooperation with Gabon's Democratic Party.
Wu made the remarks in his meeting with Simplice Guedet Manzela, general
secretary of Gabon's Democratic Party, saying "The contacts between
the CPC and Gabon's Democratic Party are important components of
solid political foundation for bilateral national relations."
He also spoke positively of China-Gabon relations, highlighting the
expanding bilateral exchanges and cooperation in various fields,
which helped inject new vitality into the China-Gabon relations.
"We feel satisfied with the development of bilateral ties and we are
willing to join hands with Gabon to continue to consolidate the
friendly cooperation", Wu told Manzela.
Manzela agreed with Wu's views on the bilateral relations, noting that
Gabonese people are very proud of becoming good friends of Chinese
people.
Gabonese Democratic Party and government will continue to make efforts to
expand cooperation with China in various fields and learn from
China's experience in social and economic development to promote
Gabon's national development, Manzela said.
