BEIJING, Aug. 20 -- Liu Qi, a senior official of the Communist Party of
China (CPC), met here Monday with Guido Westerwelle, chairman of the Free
Democratic Party of Germany.
Liu is a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and
secretary of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee.
Also on Monday, Wang Jiarui, minister of the International Department of
the CPC Central Committee, met with Westerwelle.
