Ismail Amat Meets Indonesian Delegation

  BEIJING, Sept. 6 -- Vice Chairman Ismail Amat of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress met at the Great Hall of the People this afternoon with an Indonesian delegation headed by Soetrisno Bachir, Chairman of the National Mandate Party of Indonesia.

  Speaking positively of China-Indonesia relations, Ismail Amat said that China upholds the principle of building friendship and partnership with its neighbours and pursues the foreign policy of fostering a harmonious, prosperous and secure neighboring environment. He reaffirmed that the CPC is committed to strengthening friendly ties with Indonesian political parties, so as to jointly promote the in-depth development of China-Indonesia strategic partnership and deliver benefits to the two peoples.
