DAKAR, Sept. 11¡ªPresident of the Council of the Republic of Senegal for
Economic and Social Affairs Mbaye-Jacques Diop met on 10th with the visiting CPC
good-will delegation led by Vice Minister Li Jinjun of the International
Department of the CPC Central Committee.
Diop recalled with delight his visit to China not long ago, praising the
long-standing friendly and cooperative relations between Africa and China. He
also expressed the wish to strengthen the social and economic cooperation
between Senegal and China.
Li spoke highly of the great achievements of cooperation in economic,
social and other fields of the two countries since they resumed diplomatic
relations in 2005. He also briefed the host on the ideas and practice of
building a harmonious society in China.
Deputy Secretary-General of the Senegalese Democratic Party (PDS) Lamine
Ba and Chinese ambassador to Senegal Lu Shaye were present at the meeting.
The CPC good-will delegation arrived in Dakar on September 7th for a
friendly visit in Senegal at the invitation of the PDS.
