DRC President meets with CPC good-will delegation

  Kinshasa, Sep. 14, -- President Kabila of the Democratic Republic of Congo met with the visiting CPC good-will delegation headed by Li Jinjun, Vice Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee on the afternoon of September 14th in the presidential residence.

  Kabila extended welcome to the CPC delegation. He said that the DRC regards China as a friend and a brother. Cooperation with China is a strategic choice. He expressed the hope to further mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation with China in various fields especially in economic arena. He welcomed Chinese businesses to participate in post-war national reconstruction of the DRC. Kabila reiterated that the DRC government always sticks to the one China principle and supports the great cause of China's reunification.

  Li Jinjun spoke highly of President Kabila's contribution to the promotion of China-DRC relations, thanking the DRC government for adhering to the one China principle. Li said that the CPC and the Chinese government stand ready to further friendly relations of cooperation with the People's Party for Reconstruction and Democracy (PPRD) and the DRC government and to constantly deepen friendly relations between the two countries. He also invited the PPRD to send a high-level delegation to visit China at mutual convenience.

  On the same day, Li also met with the newly elected PPRD General Secretary and Kamerhe, former PPRD General Secretary and President of DRC National Assembly. He also attended the inauguration ceremony for PPRD's new General Secretary as a special guest.

  The CPC good-will delegation headed by Li Jinjun arrived in Kinshasa on September 13th for a good-will visit at the invitation of the PPRD. The delegation will wind up its visit and return home from Kinshasa on September 15th.
