BEIJING, Sept. 26 -- Wang Jiarui, a senior official of the Communist
Party of China (CPC), said here Wednesday that the exchanges between the CPC and
the Workers' Party of Korea have consolidated the political basis of bilateral
relations.
Wang, minister of the International Department of the CPC Central
Committee, made the remarks while meeting with a delegation from the Kim Il Sung
Party Academy of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK). The
delegation was led by the academy's executive deputy president Sin Yong-hun.
China is willing to make joint efforts with the DPRK to push forward the
relations between the CPC and the Workers' Party of Korea, as well as the
relations between the two countries, Wang said.
Sin spoke highly of China's efforts in pushing ahead the DPRK-China
relations, saying the DPRK will strive to implement the consensus reached by the
leaders of the two sides, and consolidate and strengthen bilateral ties.
