Wang Jiarui meets with Deputy PM/ FM of Israel

BEIJING, Oct. 30 -- Minister Wang Jiarui of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee met today with Israeli Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Tzipi Levni.

Wang spoke highly of the rapid development in bilateral ties and the mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields between China and Israel over the past 15 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations. He said that inter-party relations constitute an important driving force behind the development of relations of the two countries. He expressed the willingness of the CPC to have further contacts and exchanges with Kadima and other major political parties in Israel. He also briefed the guest on the Seventeenth National Congress of the CPC.

Levni said that Israel cherishes its friendly relations with the Chinese party and the Chinese government and that Israel will remain committed to promoting China-Israel friendship and cooperation in various areas. She said that Kadima highly appreciates the advanced governance philosophy established at the recent CPC Congress and hopes to strengthen exchanges with the CPC on governance experiences.

The two sides also had in-depth exchange of views on other issues including the Middle East situation.
