Lesotho PM meets with CPC goodwill delegation

JOHANNESBURG, Nov. 22 -- Maseru: Pakalitha Mosisili, prime minister of the Kingdom of Lesotho and leader of the Lesotho Congress for Democracy (LCD), reaffirmed on the 20th that Lesotho would firmly adhere to the one-China policy and adamantly support China¡¯s great cause of unification.

Mosisili made those remarks when he met with a goodwill delegation of the Communist Party of China (CPC) headed by Zhang Huawei, vice-ministerial inspector of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee. Mosisili extended warm congratulations on the successful convocation of the Seventeenth National Congress of the CPC. He spoke highly of the friendly and cooperative relations between the two parties and two countries and thanked China for its long-term assistance and help to Lesotho.

Zhang gave a briefing on the Seventeenth Congress of the CPC, elaborating on the theoretical system of Socialism with Chinese characteristics and the Scientific Outlook on Development in particular. He expressed appreciation to the Lesotho government for adhering to the one-China policy and also satisfaction about the smooth development of friendly relations between the two parties and two countries.

The CPC goodwill delegation arrived in Maseru on the 20th. On the morning of the 22nd, the delegation held talks with LCD Secretary-General Mpho Malie.
