Islamic Labour Party announces its preparation to establish communication with esteemed members of the conference. And on the subject of Regional Security and Multi-Lateral Cooperation I would like to draw the kind attention of esteemed members of the Third International Asian Parties Conference to these points:

We all are witnessing the world¡¯s arrival into a new era of changes and relations.

However, the main question is ¡°What are the duties of Asian States in present conditions and what roles could be played by parties in this respect?¡±

Changes have led to the concept of security and not being bound to geographic borders and providing national security and regional security is somehow an interrelation.

With no doubt, increasing cooperation in regional level is one of the approaches in establishing security. These cooperations could be defined in different fields without jeopardizing national sovereignty of countries. There are different experiences in this respect that if we use would help us to institutionalize regional cooperation. Establishing regional unions is one of these experiences.

ASEAN union is one of the experiences in this field. This is one of the accomplishments of Asia and we can generalize this experience to all over Asia.

The People¡¯s Republic of China in its way to change into a developed, great, and powerful country and its experiences, along with experiences of many other countries can help in establishing and strengthening regional unions.

We believe a powerful Asia would lead to balance in power in the world and the balance would improve security factor in the world.

Our specific suggestion is to establish ¡°Asian States Cooperation Union.¡± Entire cooperation approaches among Asian States could be suited in this union not only to improve security factor in the region, but also other aspects. In a near future, this union might be able to solve and settle the problems and challenges in Asian countries with no interference of regional power.

Unfortunately today we see the crisis in Iraq is being increased by the interference of trans-regional powers and puts the security of the region in risk. We believe war and fight in no country would bring message of democracy and we should respect the intelligence of Iraqis since like men in other nations around the world, this nation is able to identify its best interest and should determine its own destiny, not America or England. We believe interfering in domestic affairs of a country is an insult to the knowledge and intelligence of its nation.

But our role as an Asian party on one hand is to encourage states to study the necessity and procedure of establishing this union and starting negotiation in this respect by coordination of the secretariat of conference.
