Uphold the five principles of its organization and activities such as: to take Marxist Leninism as the basis of ideology and doctrine of the Party; to act in accordance with centralized democratic principle; to consider internal solidarity within the Party as the basic principle for ensuring political unity, ideology, the organization and activities of the Party; to act in line with he mass orientation, to rely upon the mass and through the mass movement in order to build up and expand the Party; to admit self-criticism and collective criticism as the rule for the sustainability and growth of the Party.

The world situation continues to undergo rapid and complex changes. Although many corners of the globe are exposed to war and armed conflicts, peace and development cooperation still remain the key driving force of our today¡¯s world.

Under the prevailing circumstance, the LPRP as well as the Lao Government have always upheld a foreign policy of peace, independence, friendship and cooperation.
