BEIJING, Oct. 21 -- Vice Minister Zhou Li of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee met today with Cecilia Szilas, new Hungarian ambassador to China.

Zhou welcomed Szilas on her assumption of the post, and spoke positively about China-Hungary relations and party-to-party ties, pledging to further promote the development of the friendly cooperative partnership between the two countries.

Szilas said that it is a great honor and huge responsibilities for her to assume the post of ambassador to China on the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Hungary and China. She will to do everything within her power to promote party-to-party exchanges and concrete cooperation in various fields between the two countries, said the ambassador.
