Cambodian Prime Minister Meets with Song Tao

At the invitation of the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP), Song Tao, Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, paid a visit to Cambodia from August 28th to 30th. On August 30th, Hun Sen, President of the CPP and Cambodian Prime Minister, met with Song Tao in Phnom Penh.

Song Tao conveyed General Secretary Xi Jinping’s warm greetings to Hun Sen, congratulated the CPP on its victory in the election of the National Assembly, and stressed that the CPC stands ready to enhance friendly exchanges and mutual learning with the CPP to jointly guide China-Cambodia relations to achieve new and greater development.

Hun Sen asked Song Tao to convey his best wishes to General Secretary Xi Jinping, and expressed that the Cambodian side is willing to, together with the Chinese side, deepen exchanges between the two parties and expand practical cooperation in various fields. Prior to the meeting, Hun Sen, on behalf of the government of the Kingdom of Cambodia, honored Song Tao with the Grand Cross of the Royal Order of Cambodia.

During his visit in Cambodia, Song Tao also met with Say Chhum, Vice President of the CPP and President of the Senate.
