On December 8th, Heinz Fischer, former Austrian President and President of Austria-China Friendly Association met today at his home with Ding Yexian, Executive Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee of Xi Zang Autonomous Region and Party Secretary of Xi Zang Autonomous Region of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) who led a CPC delegation to visit Austria.
Fischer noted that Austria attaches importance to its relations with China and stands ready to actively well implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, so as to benefit the two peoples.
Ding expressed that China is willing to deepen China-Austria friendly strategic partnership, jointly build the Belt and Road Initiative and promote the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
During his stay in Austria, Ding also met with Andreas Schieder, Vice Chairman of the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ) Parliamentary Group, Ernst Woller, Chairman of Vienna City Council and Christian Dax, Director of the SPÖ in Burgenland.
